THE SANCTUARY CANDLE OF PRAYER AND REMEMBRANCE Parishioners have the opportunity to dedicate the sanctuary candle before the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel of the Holy Spouses, Mary and Joseph for their intentions, whether they be for the deceased, for health and well-being, for thanksgiving or for a favor received to name a few. The offering for this candle is $10.00 and the candle will burn for eight days. The sanctuary lamp in the Chapel will burn in loving memory of Giuseppe & Carmela DeSantis.

The OCIA (formerly RCIA) of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish is currently interviewing and registering candi dates and inquiries for the 2025-2026 liturgical year. This program, now called the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, aims to assist those who seek to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, for those who seek full communion in the Church and Eucharist, for those who have not yet received Confirmation. In the spirit of the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on February 2nd as the “light to the nations” parishioners will be given the opportunity to dedicate the sanctuary candle before the Blessed Sacrament for their intentions, whether they be for the deceased, for health and well-being, for thanksgiving, for a favor received, to name a few. The offering for the candle is $10 and the candle will burn for two weeks. Please contact the rectory for additional information.
